Hello
Burghley Members and anyone else reading this blog!
My
name is Diana Bevan and I have a 13.2 hh flea - bitten grey called Owen. He is
the most amazing pony ever and every childs dream. He is such a perfect gent and
he has taken me so far this year (2008) being so patient.
Jasper
(the pony that is mental and spooks at a packet of sweets) has been so good
filling in for Owen when he had gone lame teaching me to ride on very spooky
pony's ( occasionally falling off! ) LOL!
I
started this year with no confidence at all, terrified to go on a hack without
taking the lead off and scared to jump bigger that 1 foot. He has taken me all
the way to jumping 3ft 6inc roll top cross country at Newton!
He
has done everything from Jump cross to dressage, from showjumping to gymkhana,
from handy pony to hunting, to charity rides to working hunter and cross country
to Polocrosse.
I
would like to say some thankyou's to everyone who has helped me throughout the
year.
Firstly
to Robbie: You have been such a great DC organizing so many different
events for all kind of ages and ability's.
Secondly
to all the instructors: You have helped me to improve my riding so
much this year (2008) and hopefully throughout 2009.
Thirdly
to all the organizers and behind the scene people: You have done so much
this year for everybody helping so much at events.
Fourthly
to my friends: I have made so many friends this year! You have made my
year so special and if you weren't there I dont know what I would do.
Finally
to my pony: Without you my life would be hell! Sitting at home all day
doing nothing!
My
pony has been naughty at times, running off with me just to get at some lovely
looking grass, refusing to load when it's chucking it down and rolling just
after a bath!
My
pony has been brilliant, winning me many rosettes and giving me so much
confidence!
I
hope to start the year well, with some hunting here and there and some
showjumping and dressage!
Good
luck to everybody in 2009 and A Happy New Year.
