Brigstock Hunter Trial, run by the Woodland Pytchley Pony Club, was well attended by the Burghley. The weather was almost fine, the going was good and the venue was great. Everyone enjoyed themselves and the Burghley came home with plenty  of rosettes.

Lucy Daly (in her first hunter trial) and Bethany Fitt had a lovely clear round pairs and then Lucy went on to have a super clear in the individual.

Silas Mason won first and third in the next class. This class also saw the first hunter trial outing for Charlie Fitt’s young pony Percy, ridden by his sister Bethany. With only one refusal at the first.

Silas won the next class with Bethany a fraction of a second behind him bringing home a second. (she’s spitting feathers). Elizabeth Bowen-West, Greta Mason and Isobelle Henriques all had super rounds, thoroughly enjoying themselves in the process.

Harry Ladds, whose event was near the end of the day, found it worth the wait as he came in with a fantastic 4th.

Emily Henriques had a super clear  round on Bailey with Lisa Reid finishing the day off nicely with a fourth.

All in all the Burghley members had a very respectable day out and should be very proud  of themselves. They were all very nicely turned out, polite and courteous and a credit to the Burghley Pony Club.
