IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Please Read

To cover rising costs and make camp viable this year we have had to increase the price. Daily camp will now cost £120.00 per member. For those of you that have already paid please forward a cheque to Nicky Thompson for the additional £20.00 as soon as possible. Thank you for your help and understanding.

 

Directions:

Camp is held in the field reached from the B1443 Newage entrance, through a pair of large white gates (not Pilsgate Lodge, Horse Trials Office or Station Gates)

 

 

CAMP TIMES

                               

    Monday                          mounted for 2pm     finish  4 pm

   

    Tuesday  to Friday   arrive 9am for ponies staying over

                                                  9.30 for ponies travelling daily

 

Ridden Instruction:

    Monday               2 – 4 pm

    Tues  - Fri         10 – 12 am   &  2 – 4 pm

    

There will also be some stable management,

Tack cleaning, collecting droppings done before leaving at 5 pm.

CLEAN WATER & collection droppings for all ponies staying overnight is also done before leaving at 5 pm, by Ponies owners & riders.

 

                      

 

PLEASE INFORM THE ORGANISER A.S.A.P. IF YOUR PONY IS STAYING OVERNIGHT, we need to know numbers.

Ponies & horses staying at camp overnight, MUST have their back shoes removed before arrival Monday afternoon.  No farrier at camp.

 

No ponies under 5 years old are allowed at camp. If you change your horse or pony before camp, please let the organiser know as soon as possible.

 

 

 

If any member has difficulty in arriving or departing from camp at the specified times, please speak to the organiser BEFORE camp starts.

 

*HELP FROM PARENTS SET EXTRA EQUIPMENT OUR ON MONDAY AFTERNOON WILL BE NEEDED*.

 

 PC Sweatshirt & Polo shirts will be on sale at Camp, times to be confirmed.

Equipment

Tack ( please check that it is in good repair, clean & named), If you do not use a martingate or breast plate, you will need a neck strap.

Headcollar & lead rope (named)

Filled hay net each day (there is no hay at camp)

Water bucket

Grooming Kit (dandy & body brush, hoof pick, mane comb

Tack cleaning kit

Fly spray ( in case of hot weather)

Light weight waterproof rug (in case of rain or cool weather)

Skip & fork (to collect droppings)

 

 

 

Clothing

Riding hat  (hat tagged)

Body protectors (for jumping)

Jodphur/riding boots to be worn when mounted

PC polo shirts and PC sweatshirts

Jodphurs are to be plain navy, black, brown, cream or beige

Waterproof jacket or coat

Wellies

Sun cream ( if necessary )

For Parade on Friday afternoon, please wear a white shirt and PC tie, cream jodhpurs and hacking jacket ( unless it is hot ).

 

 

Food

Members should bring a packed lunch (with plenty of drink)

There will be a BBQ on Friday lunchtime, which is included in the cost of camp for members, (additional family members will need to pay)

Squash and a bun are provided mid-morning and a drink in the afternoon.

A tuck shop will be open each day at lunchtime
