I am Diana Bevan, I have a pony called Owen, a 13.2hh flea bitten grey and only some of you will know him and myself.

 

I have just finished camp and it was so awesome!!!! It's the first time I have ever done pony club camp and it definitely won't be my last. I had such a good time!!!!

 

The first day was to get to know the rider and pony ability's. I was a little late but not too bad. We were practising over 2 jumps and then we did the working hunter fences.

 

The second day our group pau, did dressage in the morning and a little x country in the afternoon. This was really good and I was really excited for the rest of the week!!!

 

On Wednesday morning we did cross country. This was so cool because we were jumping the fixed fences from the ODE. In the afternoon we did handy, this was wicked and i loved it!

 

Thursday was my birthday!!!!!! I am now 11!!!!! In the morning we had dressage with Julie F and in the afternoon we did our show jumping test with Jane R!

 

Friday was the last day, I was sad that this day had finally come. In the morning we were warming up with Philip Surl and he noticed that Owen's overreach boots were rubbing terribly and making him lame.

 

We untacked him, cleaned the area behind the fetlocks, put some savlon on and tied him to the trailer so he could eat grass. Then I went to watch the other people in Pau do their working hunter test, they all did really well and it would have been tough to beat

 

Then it was lunch, yum yum, bbq, this was amazing and I would like to say a big thankyou to whoever made bbq happen.

 

In the afternoon we had the parade, and thankfully Owen was sound enough to walk round. After a long time standing around and waiting it came to our group prizes.

 

I would like to say well done to Bethany Fitt for getting 1st and 1st and to Gretta and Silas Mason doing so well on their youngsters. Owen did really well taking me on leaps and bounds allowing me to win most improved and some yummy chocolates

 

 I would like to say a huge thankyou on behalf of Gretta, Silas, Bethany, Caitlin, jacob and myself, to all the instructors for teaching us, to all the people who helped run everything smoothly and to the parents for everything they have done this week.
