All of a sudden,
my yard owner at Grasslands Equestrian Centre in Helpston (where I
keep my pony Velvet) said that Horse and Pony magazine were looking
for someone, with their own pony, to be on the front cover of the
July issue of their magazine. So the next week, I rushed to the stables straight after school to get Velvet groomed and put her bridle on. We waited for the editor to arrive. When she finally arrived, we said hello. She had loads of different T-shirts with her in case my own was not right for the pictures, but in the end we just stuck to what I was wearing!! Then the editor, who was called Sarah, had to go and pick up her children and said that the photographer , who was called Angus, would be with us soon. The photographer arrived and he was very good with Velvet because she didn’t like the big umbrella which flashed! ( In her point of view it was a case of who wants a big flashing umbrella on a warm, sunny day!?) The photo-shoot took one hour and a half, but it was worth while because it was really fun and I will never forget the experience!! The issue was out on July the 5th. From Katie + Velly xx |
