On Saturday 4th August two Burghley teams headed off to Wittering Grange for the Area 6 Horse and Pony Care Competition.

It took about two hours to complete the competition of some individual questions some team questions and some practical questions. After we anxiously sat and waited for the scores to be added and then the presentation started with the first and seconds teams goin through to the championships. Third were the Cottesmore, second were the South Notts and first were the Burghley Mountains only winning by a margin of one and a half points. The Burghley Moorlands unfortunately just missed out on the rosettes coming seventh.
