Hi after a little persuasion from Robbie i thought that we would just  show every one Truffle's new foal. You will probably recognize  Truffle if you have been with the Burghley for a few years she was my  first pony and we haven't really been able to part with her over the  past 7 years after much success, and last year we decided we would  put he in foal along with my new horse Donna Melissa. They both went  in foal to Garuda K a Trakehner stallion (which you can look at on  the woodcroft stud website) that my instructor rides. Truffle had her  foal on the 22nd of april at 3.45 in the morning, we were woken up at  4 by a phone call from sally lister ( Burghleys show jumping  instructor who runs the stud) and i don't think i have ever got out  of bed so fast at that time of day and me and mum drove down to the  stud where we found a very cute, soggy, wobbly foal and an exhausted  Truffle. Now she is about three weeks old she is very friendly and  just loves to be scratched all the time but we don't have a name yet  though!!! Now we are expecting the second foal any time soon!!!
