welbeck estate charity ride
It’s back – the annual sponsored ride for a worthwhile cause and which this year is through absolutely beautiful parkland exclusively accessible for this event only!!
CWG Ltd, in conjunction with the Peak & Forest Group of Sport Endurance, which runs pleasure and competitive endurance rides throughout the region have organised this prestigious ride within the Welbeck Estate, near Worksop, Nottinghamshire on Sunday 28th September.
Held by kind permission of Lady Anne Bentinck and the Welbeck Estate Company Ltd, the ride starts and finishes at the Lady Margaret Hall and takes in bridleways, lanes and forest trails. Sights along the way will include the historic Welbeck village and, possibly, a glimpse of the estate’s rare white deer.
With all proceeds going to the Riding for the Disabled (RDA) charity, the ride will offer equestrians unique off-road access to this glorious part of Nottinghamshire, much of which is normally closed to the public.
The CWG Equi-Club / Sport Endurance Peak & Forest Sponsored Ride maintains a long-established tradition of riders raising money for charity. Last year, a comparable event was held at Doddington in Lincolnshire, resulting in a handsome donation of circa £5,500 to The Princes Trust.
“For several years, CWG Equi-Club has supported charity rides enabling riders to enjoy a safe, fun day out with their horses whilst also helping a very good cause. So we’re delighted to offer horse riders a similar opportunity this year on Sunday 28th September,” said Nina Eyles, Marketing Manager for CWG Ltd. “Places will be strictly limited due to the exclusivity of the ride so booking will be essential!”
